FRONTIERA LETTO-LITUANA 125 of the river Sventa, and following a straight line in a northeasterly direction, cuts the Kutzau-Polangas road at a point 380 metres north of the point of intersection of this road with the road to Kushi. It then cuts the road Butingi-Rodo-lisliki, and passes directly to meet the river Sventa at its west-most bend. From this point it follows the old frontier line. Thereafter the frontier follows the old frontier between the former Governments of Kurland and Kovno until beyond the Mojaiki-Preekule railway it leaves the river to pass along the southern boundary of the property Krishyani, belonging to Swikli, till it again meets the river, thereafter leaves the river similarly to include the property Krastineek (‘Dagis) also within Latvian territory, and at a further point on the present frontier, the properties I'ridrichs Mayas, Murauska (2 farms) and Gwasda. Thereafter the frontier follows the old governmental line until beyond the vicinity of Klikole it continues east so as to take in the area of the village Bileiki excluding so far as possible the purely Lithuanian holdings and returning thereafter to the river Wadakste. Thereafter it follows the old governmental line until the southern stretch to the east of Wegeri, when instead of turning eastwards it continues in the same southerly line leaving in Latvia Maly-Auz and in Lithuania Maldeni and Widauze, to the point where the road Widauze-Ukri forks. From this place it proceeds due south along the road bordering the Vidauze forest in the east, leaving to Latvia Ukri, Trisaseli, Galwanishki and to Lithuania Vieszuga; thereafter running due east to the point where the road Vieszuga-Petraici crosses the river coming from Remdeiki, from this point the frontier proceds in a straight line in an south-easterly direction leaving in Latvia: Lulaici and in Lithuania: Minki. East of this place the frontier curves to the east leaving to Lithuania Sturiti and Gut Martinishki. From a point 500 metres n. w. of the Shagory main road the frontier run« due N.
